Travel to the commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the rich port. Puerto Rico is comprised of an archipelago which includes the main island as well as a number of smaller islands. Rich in history and home to peoples for thousands of years, archaeologists have been discovering proof of its heritage through a number of archeological sites found throughout the islands. It strives to protect the area, increase moneys to the area and then further protect the area for generations to come. Travelers are encouraged while visiting these amazing destination,s to be responsible in travel and help to protect these unique areas for future generations to come.

Unique Features Of Puerto Rico
Explore some of the features that make Puerto Rico a hot spot for ecological travel. It's location and separation from mainland makes it home to over 200 species of plants, 16 bird species, and 39 amphibians and reptiles that reside specifically in the region of Puerto Rico. Tropical rainforests destroyed on mainlands, still exist in there, creating a rich environment to protect these many endemic species. Vacationers from around the world come to explore these protected environments and unique species found only on the island.

As other forms of revenue decline in Puerto Rico, tourism thrives. Providing the area almost 2 billion dollars in revenue each year, ecotourism provides a solution to sustainability of tourism to the area. The world is full of unique destinations which showcase some of the most amazing features of the world. By encouraging sustainable tourism, perhaps other destinations throughout the world will to, support the movement of creativity and responsible tourism.
